The Irish language and Gaelic Games have seen a continued growth in Antrim in recent years and Campa Chormaic has been one of the leading lights. Campa Chormaic in Antrim has grew significantly in the heart of ‘An Cerathrú Gaeltachta, of Belfast.
The Camp has grown from strength to strength in Belfast and the 2 weeks has proven popular each year. Summer 2019 will be no different, with an exhilarating schedule of Irish language classes, history and our sports of football, ladies football, hurling and Camogie located in the West of the City.
The camp runs for two weeks and is usually held in West Belfast, however this year’s camp will take place in Bunscoil an tSléibhe Dhuibh and St. John’s. Coláiste Feirste have been very generous in their support to Campa Chormaic over the past few years and we are very thankful of that support.
The Antrim campa caters for 8-16-year-old boys and girls. Week 1 is dedicated to children from Irish Medium Education and Week 2 is open to all. The afternoon session this year will be hosted by St. Johns CLG.
