Campa Chormaic was launched in Cormac’s home parish in 2004 – the Brantry – just outside Eglish, Co Tyrone. In 2014 Campa Chormaic was developed and adapted to a new location to include Scoil Iósaef, Donaghmore. The Camps in Tyrone have been noted as being amongst the best in the County and indeed the Province. With numbers in Camps limited, it is really worthwhile booking your place NOW so that you don’t miss out.
The classes take place in the mornings, under the expert guidance of local teachers, and cover the Irish language, culture and history in the locations of The Brantry Bard and Scoil Iósaef, Donaghmore.
Then in the afternoons, the focus will turn to sport on the playing fields. Here you learn the skills of our national sports Gaelic football, hurling, ladies football, camogie and handball under the watchful eye of some of the best sports coaches in the country and the occasional All-Star!
It is the people who make the Campa Chormaic experience. Our Múinteoirí, our Ceannairí, all the coaches and all those who give their time throughout the year. Campa Chormaic Tyrone would not exist without the support of our local communities and generous sponsors who we are hugely indebted to.
But most importantly the pupils are what continue to make Campa Chormaic Ireland’s Premier Summer Camp year in and year out!
An mbeidh tú ann i mbliana? Will you be there this year?
Campa Chormaic go deo!
