Campa Chormaic was launched in Cormac’s home parish in 2004 – the Brantry – just outside Eglish, Co Tyrone. 2014 saw a change to the Tyrone format with two new camps being established in Scoil Iósaef, Donaghmore and in Dromore, serving West Tyrone.
2014 was an historic and ground breaking year in Tyrone – 10 years of Campa Chormaic and our two camps in East Tyrone sold out in record time. Don’t be disappointed this year!
The classes take place in the mornings, under the expert guidance of local teachers, and cover the Irish language, culture and history.
Then in the afternoons, the focus will turn to sport on the playing fields. Here you learn the skills of our national sports gaelic football, hurling, ladies football, camogie and handball under the watchful eye of some of the best sports coaches in the country and the occasional All-Star!
Campa Chormaic Tyrone would not exist without the support of our local communities and generous sponsors who we are hugely indebted to.
It is the people who make the Campa Chormaic experience. Our múinteoirí, our ceannairí, all the coaches and all those who give their time throughout the year. But most importantly the pupils are what continue to make Campa Chormaic Ireland’s premier summer camp.
Campa Chormaic go deo!
